Skoda released new rally car 2011 | Skoda Fabia R2
After launching the Fabia Super 2000 rally car in January last, the Czech car manufacturer, Skoda again presents another motorsport derived from the same model.
The new rally car Skoda Fabia R2 alerts in 2011. As the name suggests, is ready for use in the rally category R2.
"The car was developed, extensively tested and ready for use in demonstrations for nearly two years," said Skoda.
Rally car Skoda Fabia R2 is based on the model series, the difference is only in the engine, undercarriage, axle kinematics, and gearbox.
Carrying the 1600 cc 16-valve engine, capable of producing up to 177 hp maximum power and torque of 194 Nm (143 lb.ft.) at 5,500 rpm, the front wheel with five-speed sequential transmission of Sadev.
In addition, the electronic machines are handled by Magneti-Marelli and the car has received homologation FIA rally last month.
